My Project

I work at two Title I schools. These supplies will impact exceptional preschool and kindergarten students who receive occupational therapy.

These pre-writing and writing tools will give these young learners the ability to learn through play, creativity, and multisensory hands-on experiences.

A child's preschool and kindergarten years are very formative and involve important physical and cognitive development. It is crucial to address visual motor skills, fine motor abilities, and motor strength through multisensory experiences at this age. This project will give my students craft supplies, adaptive writing and cutting tools, and multisensory materials to increase fine motor skills. This will set them up for continued positive development.

The stickers, craft supplies, and different coloring tools will target hand strength, grasp, and visual motor skills. The adaptive scissors will allow these new learners to begin developing scissor skills, and the playdough and multisensory letter toys will help with letter formations and letter recognition. These materials and supplies will make a positive impact on these young learners!
