My Students

My students attend elementary school in a close-knit, urban community. Most of my students attend various programs after school, including the community schools program that we have in our building. They receive breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack every day. They are eager and excited to learn new things daily. We love to dance, sing, and explore every aspect of our learning with a hands-on approach.

My students thrive on positive feedback and believe that everyone has a gift to share with the world.

My Project

One of our big focuses this year in the engineering design process. Students develop solutions to everyday problems and work to find answers. They are developing skills that they will need in their adult lives. These materials will help students practice building through play.

We can achieve our goals through purposeful play and design.

These materials will be used for our morning and STEM bins. These materials will help students develop the fine motor skills necessary for academic work. Students will be able to explore and build through play and imagination. They will be able to take their ideas and create something through the engineering design process.
