My Students

I teach in an onsite, public pre-k classroom that is paired with a SEKCAP daycare 0-3 year old program. We are also partnered with Headstart. I have a morning class and an afternoon class of 15 students each class at max. The combination provides a strong sense of community where teachers know all of the children and families. We see most parents several times a week for drop-off and pick-up. Many of the children have been in classes together since infancy creating many interesting, sibling-like relationships. They both support and challenge each other every day.

My Project

These resources will help my students to be able to practice their fine motor skills by grasping different ways with these activities. These resources will also be used in the classroom to help my students regulate their emotions when they get upset. With having mulitiple students that have learning, physical, or speaking disabilities, these resources will help these students to improve in our general education classroom. These are activities that we can sanitize and keep clean during this pandemic to teach and keep our students safe through their learning journey.
