Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create signage for the newly expanded NPHS library! Since arriving at the NPHS Library, I have moved some of the sections, created new ones, and doubled down on teacher-library partnerships in order to kickstart literacy in our school. Updated signs will help patrons find their desired sections more quickly, and changeable signs will let me create displays and pop-up areas more easily.

Independent library navigation will empower the students to use the library on their own, as well as free up library staff for other library duties.

It is my goal to partner with the art class to paint the wooden letters, so they can leave a legacy at this school, while beautifying our space. I am POSITIVE that we have a ton of GREAT books and that there is truly something for everyone in this library, but I have to get them in the door first. Easy signage with a personal touch will grab the attention of passersby and foster a sense of pride of ownership of the library.
