Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a wonderful group of sixth-grade students in a high needs school in the western part of North Carolina. One hundred percent of the students at my school receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My students come in eager to learn with the materials that we have for them.

The teachers at our school go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure every need of each child is met. Thank you in advance for helping our classroom.

My Project

My students are embarking on a financial literacy unit. We have our online banking and credit scores so the following items will help us become financially stable. The colored copy paper will be used to print off the different types of bank statements each month for the students. The notebooks and graph paper will be used for students to graph out their gross income weekly and to make charts to see how much they have been saving. We have an extra screen in our classroom that we would like the apple tv and the hdmi cord to connect on so we can run our online banking software through it. The glad plugs will have the room smelling wonderful while all of these great things are going on. The led light strips will be placed around our money banking board that is displayed in the classroom.

With a little help, my students will be taking financial literacy to a whole different level.
