We the team, equally divided up all of the resources donated among three teachers in order to use them with our 6th grade students. Students now have tissue, clorox wipes, febreeze, markers, pencils and a variety of Utz potato chips. We have placed the clorox wipes, tissue box and the febreeze spray around in the classroom to allow the students to use them as they need. The wooden cellphone holder is very helpful when I collect student's cellphones during homeroom. From mallets, to reeds, to valve oil and slide grease, to new mouthpieces and more, your donation to our project has given the students of Ridge Road Middle School some of the materials needed for them to be able to be able to start (or continue) their journey as young musicians and grow. When the students found out who it was that supplied these resources for us they began telling me to make sure I thank you properly for helping us all out. \r\n\r\nThrough funding our project, you have helped both band students in grades six through eight, as well as students in general music in grades six through eight. For band students these supplies are so essential in order for instrument upkeep and playability. For the students in general music, having some of these supplies allows them to explore music on the tone bar instruments, as well as other auxiliary percussion and other things. I was shocked at how many students came in to my room with a song they liked and told me \"I want to learn how to play this song\" and \"that song\" and \"this kind of music\". It moved me to see so many students eager about creating music using the resources provided by your program. I want to ensure that when I submit my impact letter and photos, they fully capture the depth of gratitude I feel and the incredible difference this project has made for my students.\r\nTo give you some insight into what this project has accomplished so far: I work at a Title I school where many of my students come from challenging circumstances, and being prepared for class is often the last thing on their minds. Day after day, I watched students show up without basic supplies like notebooks, pencils, and erasers, not because they didn't care, but because they couldn't afford them. This lack of preparation often made them feel disconnected and discouraged, and it created a barrier to their learning. \r\nWhen the supplies from this project arrived, I decided to integrate them into our class store, where students could earn and use class bucks to \"purchase\" what they needed. The transformation was immediate and powerful. Suddenly, students weren't just coming to class prepared, they were excited to earn bucks, proud to shop for supplies, and, most importantly, developing a sense of ownership over their learning.\r\n \r\nWhat brought me to tears, though, was how my students took this opportunity and made it about more than just themselves. Some of them started using their bucks to buy supplies for peers in other classes who they noticed were struggling. They didn't have to do that, but they chose to because they understood what it felt like to be unprepared and wanted to make a difference for others.\r\n \r\nThis project didn't just provide supplies; it created a culture of kindness, responsibility, and support among my students. It has transformed the dynamics in my classroom, and I've seen my students grow not just academically but also in their sense of community and empathy.\r\n \r\nI'll be submitting the final photos and impact letter soon because I want to make sure they capture the full story of how life-changing this support has been, not just for my classroom but for students across our school.\r\n \r\nThank you again for giving me and my students this opportunity.
