My students excitedly enter school each day, ready to learn and with smiles on their faces. The school consists of open classrooms which are quite unique. The entire elementary school qualifies for free breakfast and lunch.
My students come from diverse backgrounds with a strong desire to learn and be challenged.
They seize opportunities and are excited by new perspectives and additions to the classroom. Classroom instruction includes highly engaging, hands-on activities to keep students focused and motivated. My students are in need of opportunities to build a strong educational foundation that will prepare them for the future.
My Project
The Kindle Fires requested in this project will provide amazing learning experiences for my students. They love technology and these are perfect for the reinforcement of financial literacy skills as well as many math programs third graders need to be successful. They will be able to access math apps to address areas of need that need to be strengthened. These areas include money, making change, and word problems incorporating these skills.
Technology increases access to learning opportunities for all children.
Technology is incredibly motivating for my students. I believe learning should be fun and exciting. These materials will help reach that goal! Thank you for considering our classroom for funding!
