My Project

Students in my classroom are motivated by special snacks, candy, drinks, and small fidgets. Students also lack personal finance/financial literacy skills. Most do not have bank accounts of their own, do not use banking or credit cards, and have a minimal idea of budgeting and saving.

A classroom economy will allow me to provide access to desired items while cultivating curiosity and learning of financial skills.

Students will be given their own debit card to use on items in the classroom store. Students will earn a weekly salary and opportunity for daily tips through assignments completed, on task behavior, kindness to others, etc. We need supplies for the classroom store like candy, snacks, drinks, storage bins and small trinkets.
