My Students

My students are from a diverse demographic group in our area. The work well together, helping one another and being understanding to individual needs. I have a total of 54 students in 5th grade. Several are ESL and working hard to learn the English language.

My students work diligently everyday to develop their math skills.

These also include reading skills. My passion for them is to be life long learners. They learn best when they are able to use hands-on tools and specially enjoy digital resources.

My Project

Due to the limited space in the classroom, the mobile dry erase board will allow me to capture students thoughts while being anywhere in the classroom. Students will also use the board to document their learning in small group. Also working with a small group with word problems I can show how to break a word problem into smaller parts to better comprehend what the questions is asking and the skill needed in order to solve the math problem. Students struggling in reading will also struggle with word problems.

Data gained while working in small groups or one on one using the mobile dry erase board is essential to developing financial literate citzens.
