Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This year I will be teaching third grade math, and I am so excited for the adventure that awaits me. My students work so hard in school in spite of all that they have experienced so far in their lives. More than 75% percent of our students come from low-income homes and have faced so much in the wake of COVID and online learning. I know it is not by chance that we are all here together in a classroom, and I want to be intentional about teaching them how to get along, being a leader, and to make wise choices.

They inspire me every day to do my best to provide them with the best well-rounded education.

I am hoping that you will help me to provide materials for an exciting learning environment. I am so grateful for you, the people who support my students!

My Project

This project will help provide math materials, books, and Christmas presents to my students. This school year has been so fun having everyone back in person and I want to make sure we celebrate all of their hard work and accomplishments. I know that there are a few things that we need to help us do that. There are also basic materials in this project that will be helpful for finishing this semester and starting another one after Christmas. It has been a while since we have had a complete school year in person for me to be able to provide materials. I appreciate you, donors, for standing in the gap for students.
