My Project

As a school counselor and liaison for some students in temporary housing, I am always looking for ways to help my students succeed. After the pandemic and with the "tripledemic" that we experienced this school year, we have noticed that attendance rates are down. Research indicates that regular school attendance is essential for students' success as well as social and emotional well-being.

Distributing Water, drinks, and snacks to students will enable provide them with the needed energy to get through the long days!

As part of our PBIS program, we would like to use the gift cards as incentives for improved attendance amongst some of the 126 at-risk for being chronically absent students.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
