Help me give my students a classroom library that is stuffed with interesting and motivating books, such as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and Harry Potter series!
My 3rd grade classroom is filled with 21 students who are all excited and eager to learn. They love using different materials throughout the day in the classroom that help them tackle any task at hand. Having a functional working environment for my students is very important to me as I can see the positive effects it has on their excitement to learn.
I like to think of my students as snowflakes; each one is unique in their own little way.
Accommodating each of their learning styles through different classroom tools and resources is important for their educational growth and experience in my classroom!
My Project
Students can never have too many books to choose from. In our 3rd grade classroom, every single student loves to read, however, the selection in our library is not as wide as we would like. Some students have difficulty finding interesting books to pick out! In this project, I have carefully selected a large amount of books that my students have personally asked me about including specific titles and authors such as, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Geronimo Stilton, Harry Potter, Magic Tree House and Dork Diaries. These series also accommodate the different reading levels in the classroom. Along with all of the books that are on our wish list, we will need a whole new bookshelf to help store our new books! We are also asking for new stools to enhance our flexible seating options throughout the room. By providing a wide variety of books for these children, the motivation to read will never fade!

We have a comfortable and inviting environment in which we learn in. Now it is time to grow our library so we have plenty of opportunities to challenge our brains and keep moving our reading skills and comprehension to new heights! Reading is a very important component when it comes to education!
