I am a new teacher just setting up my very first classroom. I want to make a learning environment fun and inviting for my students. They are all so eager to learn and I want to support their excitement the best way I could. Included in this project are pillows and other seating options. I want to bring a sense of calming comfort to my classroom so my students can learn and grow comfortably. Having these different seating options will help as incentives for positive behavior, as well as promotion of independence and self monitoring. In my classroom, we have very few seating options including desk chairs and stools. I am trying to build up my classroom as a first year teacher and my students comfort and state of mind comes first! Also included in this project is a wide selection of different books. In our classroom library right now, we are very limited when it comes to genres and titles of books. Having these different choices for my students will help increase their desire to read on their own, ultimately helping them reach their reading and other academic goals!
