Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a high school where students sometimes are in the building for more than 8 hours a day and need food to keep them motivated, energized and alert. These students work hard and many attend night school, clubs, ROTC and after school activities; sometimes the only meals/snacks that the students have are the ones offered in school.
I have the best students and want them to continue to succeed.
My students deserve all opportunities available to them and the simple act of giving them energy to continue with their day is sometimes all they need! A small gesture for a lifetime of learning memories!
