This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Even though I've been a classroom teacher for more than 15 years I always have new projects to continue to improve the educational experience for my students. This year one of my projects is updating my classroom library to include a greater variety of books.

Nonfiction books are essential for all classroom libraries!

These nonfiction books were specifically chosen with my students' interests in mind. The wide range of options allows students to guide their own learning and motivates them to research topics that speak to them. Everything from books about sports and animals to biographies and current social issues need to find a place on our shelves.
