Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend a low-income school with 100% of the students qualifying for free breakfast and lunch. They face many challenges, challenges many people will never experience in their lifetime. I am always amazed at the great attitudes, love for learning, and the kind hearts my kids have, regardless of these challenges. They are eager to learn and make great gains.

My Project
Testing season is upon us! Our students are preparing to take the SBAC (a standardized test) that can take up to 6 days. In addition to this, they have practice tests, a test specifically for second language learners and more. Long story short, our kiddos have a lot of testing days ahead of them. Testing for long periods of times is draining on anyone, but it's even worse for 8-10 year old kids.
I am asking for snacks to be given specifically during testing times.
These snacks will be distributed during testing breaks in order to feed their bellies and fuel their brains. Thank you in advance for not letting lack of food get in their way of performing well on these tests!
