This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work in a low-income district with some of the most kind-hearted students. Within my kindergarten classroom, there is a high energy and an eagerness to learn.
I have found that through constructive play, students are able to learn both social and academic skills to best succeed in the classroom.
My classroom is set up in a flowing rotation style, in which students are able to explore different centers that best reach their learning styles. Learning through fun is the ultimate goal in the classroom.
My Project
This year, I realized that it was disorganized when it came to turning things in. We had a single turn in bed and it lead to a lot of disorganization with grading.
Next year, I would like to incorporate a filing system so that students are able to keep track of both their folders and their work throughout the year.
I believe that having a filing system will be beneficial and help significantly with classroom organization as a whole. If students have a designated place to put their work and their folders, they will keep track of their work much better.
