My students need a classroom rug to help them learn the "Fifty Nifty" states of the United States, adding in their success in learning all 50 states.

My Students

Fifty Nifty United States from thirteen original colonies, Shout 'em, scout 'em, Tell all about 'em, One by one,til we've given a name to every state in the USA ....

Learning together, in a suburban school of Colorado, my group of 30 students come from diverse backgrounds.

Many of my students are unable to have the resources to practice daily skills at home or with parents. They are a fantastic group that is engaged in learning and love coming to school.

My Project

You might remember the Fifty Nifty United States song as a catchy tune from your days in elementary school. While the song is great, visually being able to place all these names in their correct location will help my fifth graders learn the names and location. This helps reinforce a skill daily, helping each on of them identify with a name and location.

Through this donation, I will be able to visually introduce and reinforce the names of all 50 states.

My students are working hard to obtain this skill and this visual will benefit all students in this endeavor.
