Help me give my students a true understanding to the time period of the Great Depression. My students thrive on novel studies and truly learn better reading and discussing a novel, rather than learning just with their textbook.

My Project

My students love to learn about our history, but can sometimes find it dull and lets face it, right out boring. Learning about The Great Depression through a novel can extend and expand my students knowledge about this important topic.

This class set of history novels will reach 75 students just this year and many, many more beyond that!

This novel is a great depiction of what happened during this time in American history. While reading this novel, my students will better understand the state standards but gain a much deeper understanding of why this time period happened and how we can keep it from happening again.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
