I have a great group of 6 middle school boys and girls who not only have 6 very different personalities, but also a variety of disabilities. They are creative, determined, and over-all an amazing group of students. They work hard every single day to achieve new heights in academics and social skills.
My students inspire me everyday to be the best teacher for them and to learn new skills in order to better provide instruction for their variety of needs.
My Project
These supplies will help my students have safe field trip experiences. The bags will be used for the students to keep all of their belongings with them and will allow them to have ownership over their own things. The tags will allow me to label the student's bags in order to ensure everyone has their own things and nothing is getting left behind. Ziplock bags and band-aids are a field trip necessity. Additionally, having a mat in our classroom will allow students to rest during their free time, when not feeling well, or when they need a refresh to get through the rest of the day.
Giving students the opportunity to have their own items with them will add additional learning experiences throughout all of our future field trips and equip them with the tools necessary to practice life skills in responsibility, ownership, and self-reliance.
