Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love how my students are leaning into their feelings and emotions. They are becoming more expressive, self-aware, and willing to make changes. The fidget rings and desk/chair straps would be great tools to use for those who have sensory concerns.

Instead of using their hands and feet for classroom distractions, they are able to silently meet their sensory needs.

Our counseling office is pretty small so storage is always a concern. Thanks to Donors Choose, we were able to get cute fabric shelves to store student resources. With a slightly taller one, we can store even more.
