My Students

I teach in a wonderful community. Our class consists of 25 eager 2nd graders. They are excited to come to school each day and learn. The students love to be active while they learn. My students need a place where they can sit comfortably and can use hands-on experiences to learn. They are excited to learn and I want to keep that fire alive! I would love to have my children reading at a 3rd grade level when leaving me and these resources would help tremendously.

My Project

Being in the second grade, my students have a lot to learn in order to prepare them for state testing in the near future. We do a lot of guided practice, but they also do a lot of independent practice. Often, they have to sit still at their desks for long periods of time while doing their independent work. I have noticed that my students love to move around and work in different areas of the classroom.

I believe the wiggle stools and exercise ball chairs will give my students the option to work freely and more comfortably.

The chairs will also give them the opportunity to be autonomous because they will have the option to choose where they want to sit to complete their work.
