Being in the second grade, my students have a lot to learn in order to prepare them for state testing in the near future. We do a lot of guided practice, but they also do a lot of independent practice. Often, they have to sit still at their desks for long periods of time while doing their independent work. I have noticed that my students love to move around and work in different areas of the classroom. I believe the wiggle stools and yoga ball chairs will give my students the option to work freely and more comfortably. The chairs will also give them the opportunity to be autonomous because they will have the option to choose where they want to sit to complete their work.
