Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school students are in dropout prevention and credit recovery courses because traditional teaching methods are not working for them. This year we have lost 4 students due to gun and gang violence. Fidget items would be a great addition to our attempts at a mindful culture in our school.

These students cope with many instances of traumatic situations and they deserve a variety of fidget choices if that is what soothes them.

Providing exposure to coping mechanisms, such as fidget items, allows for calming opportunities when life becomes too stressful.
