Fidget, Focus, and Flourish

My students need Bouncy Bands to help them release extra energy, anxiety, and tension while they work quietly at their desks. Students have fun working when they can move!

My Students

As a teacher in a small rural school district, my students in the 10th grade ISTEP Remediation classes are full of energy and excitement. They like to move, love lots of positive attention and are thankful for the care and respect I give them.

I treat each student with the same love and respect that I give my own children, while also having high expectations for each of them and myself.

I know the value of a high school diploma, so I am continuously pushing each child to do his/her best.

I love math and am very enthusiastic about it in my classroom which helps hook my students into "buying in" to the topics.

My Project

I personally bought 2 bouncy bands last year. I could not believe how beneficial the bouncy bands were. Students who could not sit for more than a few minutes were sitting and engaged while using the bouncy bands! I knew I had to find a way to purchase more.

Bouncy bands help students stay focused in class so they can do a better job completing their work when they have a way to get stimulation at their desk instead of daydreaming or getting off task.

Students loved them so much that they told other teachers about the bouncy bands in my class. These teachers came to my room to check them out and of course wanted some for their room as well!
