PreKindergarten is the beginning of elementary school. Students are beginning to wonder, ask questions, expand their thinking, and realize their full potential.
I teach in a low-income Title 1 school where students are filling their brains full of knowledge and wonderful things about the world we live in.
The students in PreKindergarten LOVE to explore in the classroom. They come with smiles on their faces, ready to enjoy the day. My job is to create an adventure, their job is to find it.
My Project
The students in PreK Counts LOVE to move and are ALWAYS moving. Whether it be at nap time or during circle time, I constantly have students who need something in their hands. I am wanting to provide fidget bins and quiet bins for these particular harder times during the day.
At 4 and 5 years old, being quiet and being still are too skills these students need your help to master!
With things like fidgets to hold, they will be able to move their hands and keep their bodies calm during circle time. With tracing, students will be able to draw quietly while others are sleeping. Their hands are constantly in motion, but everything else is silent!
