Our school strives to find the leader in all students even though we live in a very rural area of the black belt. Over half of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch but every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.
The students in my class and on my court strive for excellence.
My classes and sports teams consist of some amazing students.
Of those students, I have English learners, resource students, athletes, band students, and many other types of students. They all have a think win-win attitude and do their personal best to contribute to our classroom and sports community.
My Project
The female student-athletes of our High School and their coaches strive for excellence. The softball team has won 4 state championships out of 5 years and the girl's basketball and volleyball team are now competing each year at regional playoffs. These young ladies all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects. They selflessly contribute to the sports community by participation in volunteer community service projects during and off-season.
Half rack weight lifting cages are needed to meet the needs of our female athletes with a smaller stature.
This weight room will provide the necessary time to adequately workout during season and off-season without the difficulty of sharing one campus weight room with both high school and middle school boys’ football, basketball, track, and baseball team. With your financial support, we can complete putting together our all-female weight room. We have already accumulated some things but we are in need of good weight lifting cages to meet the needs of our girls. Our all female weight room is about to be on the road to completion.
