Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school serves about 700 students, it is a Title 1 school where 90% of the students are on free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Our student body is 87% Hispanic Heritage.

I serve about 580 students in physical education classes and 50+ students in the morning games.

Also, morning games are a 30 minutes program to start the day with a wonderful opportunity to get some great exercise and channel some of the energy for the rest of the day.

My Project

Morning games allow each student to take charge of their behavior before school starts.

First, I will be using these materials before school in the morning games and my PE classes that will help the students start their day off on the right foot.

Second, morning games will help each student to improve their social skills and interacting with other students in fun activities.

Third, morning games can help each student to burn off extra energy before their day begins that will make a difference in the students' learning.

These sports materials would make a difference in the behavior of the students. The Physical Education resources here are limited and we are requesting from DonorsChoose a Rainbow set of basketballs and soccer balls.
