Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My co-teacher and I teach a group of 3rd-6th graders with Autism. They are fantastic kids who work daily to learn academic, communication, social, and behavioral skills.

As our students get older and begin to go through puberty, their bodies start to change, and it can be a very confusing experience.

We want to help them understand these changes while providing the necessary materials to help them feel their best.

These toiletries will be used to make self-care packages that the students can take home and keep at school to use when needed. These packages will help our students feel comfortable and teach them the independent living skills they need to succeed.
