This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The forgotten bunch - school counselors often don't fit into a specific role. Often times we are the catch-all when in reality, we want to focus on individual, small group and whole school counseling services.

Students deserve the opportunity to be their best, most authentic selves.

With these resources, they will be able to explore themselves and the world around them in a safe space - which is what all student's deserve and don't always get. From working through cognitive distortions to grabbing a snack before a test, all needs are treated as important in the counseling office. As I learn and improve, students flourish while using these books, activities and materials. In my office, students belong, their voice matters and their story is told.
