Feel the Beat: Hands-On Tools to Explore Rhythm and Pitch

Help me give my students drum pads, kazoos, hand drums, pitch changers, and a portable synthesizer to help my music students actively explore rhythm and pitch through hands-on, engaging instruments.

My Project

In my music classroom, students are discovering how powerful it can be to express themselves through sound. To deepen their understanding of musical elements like rhythm and pitch, I’m requesting a set of engaging, accessible instruments including drum pads, hand drums, kazoos, pitch changers for Boomwhackers, and a portable synthesizer.

These tools will allow students to explore music through movement, experimentation, and creativity.

Whether they're tapping out complex rhythms on drum pads or hearing how pitch changes with a simple tool, students will have opportunities to connect music theory with real experiences. These resources are especially important for students who may not have access to instruments at home but are eager to learn and participate fully in class.

By putting these instruments in their hands, you're giving students the chance to feel the beat, find their voice, and understand the science and art behind sound. Your support will help make music class a space where every student can engage, create, and grow.
