It's time to start a new school year, and I hope to make it a great one! If you were to walk in my classroom during the school year, you will see 18-20 kindergartners actively engaged in a hands-on learning environment.
Kindergartners are eager to learn and love to explore in many different ways.
My future 5 & 6 years old, students are from many different ethnic groups and have a variety of backgrounds as well as come to school with a wide range of academic abilities. In order to help my students succeed, this year, in kindergarten, I am hoping to plan a variety of fun and exciting activities using sensory bins.
My Project
I would love to get my students excited about alphabet, number & shape practice with this innovative activity. A sensory bin is a tactile, hands-on learning experience for students. The students put their hands in and play and dig to search and identify either the letters, numbers or shapes needed for the activity cards.
Sensory bins make learning fun and engaging and incorporates fine motor skill into the classroom.
The Feel & Find Sensory set give students a chance to explore and learn using their sense of touch as they search for letters, numbers or shapes in their own sensory bin.
