The laminating pouches help us preserve important learning materials so that students can use them again and again. The Sharpies have also been especially helpful for creating classroom projects, labeling materials, and adding color and creativity to student work.\r\n\r\nMy students were especially excited to see the treasure box items! Having small rewards available gives students something positive to work toward and provides an opportunity to celebrate their hard work, kindness, responsibility, and accomplishments. It has been wonderful to see their excitement when they earn a reward and to watch them encourage one another. These materials may seem simple, but they help make our classroom more engaging, organized, and motivating for students. They earn treasure box for following class expectations, homework completition and showing their WAVE at school. \r\n\r\nAs we continue learning throughout the year, we will keep using these resources during lessons, hands-on activities, and classroom projects. We have been using the pockets to keep important classroom materials organized and within reach, which has helped students take more responsibility for their belongings and their learning environment. Students suggest books for their friends to read or say \"Hey can I read that when you're done?\" With the books they have doubled the number of AR quizzes and points earned. \r\n\r\nKids like Jahniya retell the plot of Owl Diaries to me pointing at the characters and using their own made up voices.
