The Little Readers set will give me more resources to help my "little readers" reach new levels. With multiple copies of one book I can do a shared reading with my students in order to scaffold their learning. Then the students can read it in our small group and finally after reading a few times together the students can add this book to their book baggie and read it by themselves. Reading together in a small group boosts a readers confidence to try on their own! I have done this type of reading with my students and they feel so proud when they read the book by themselves. The books that I have are falling apart and have to go to the "book hospital" in our classroom a lot. The Learning Centers will be a great resource for the other students to engage in while I am reading with a small group. The centers are fun engaging activities that will benefit all learners especially my struggling students.
