My Project

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn safe and appropriate ways to bite, chew, swallow, and eventually enjoy eating and swallowing.

Many times, we as a society take our feeding preferences and abilities for granted.

After all, feeding and eating are part of not only a necessity for basic life skills and nutrition, but also a social interaction experience and meant to enjoy and take pleasure in.

Many of my students have difficulties with both the sensory and motor aspects of feeding. Many students on my caseload struggle to appropriately bite, chew, and/or swallow foods of all textures, tastes, and/or liquids. These tools will help target the specific goals catered to them to help improve their ability to eat at mealtimes.
