Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking funding to provide snacks for Title 1 students in our school. Title 1 students often face economic disadvantages and food insecurity, which can negatively impact their learning experience. By offering nutritious snacks, we aim to address this issue and improve their overall well-being and academic performance.

Title 1 schools serve a significant population of students from low-income families who may not have access to regular meals or healthy snacks.

Studies have shown that students who come to school hungry are more likely to struggle academically, exhibit behavioral issues, and experience health problems. To mitigate these challenges, we propose implementing a snack program that ensures Title 1 students have access to nutritious snacks during the school day.

Addressing food insecurity among Title 1 students is crucial for their academic success and overall well-being. By supporting this grant, you will contribute to providing a positive learning environment where these students have access to nutritious snacks that can help them thrive academically. We kindly request your consideration and support in making this program a reality.
