This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fearless learners. They are diverse, unique, amazing humans and I am constantly learning from them. Many of them go on to be first generation college students, so giving my students the best opportunity for learning, is important to me.

My students are the next generation of inventors, scientists, entrepreneurs, movers and shakers.

They have incredible potential, but many come in with limited scientific background, lack of technological skills and minimal science literacy experience. I want to level the playing field for these students. I am honored, every year, to work with such an amazing group of young people.

My Project

Science is a continually changing field, subject to new advancements and discoveries that make information suddenly available, either for the first time, or in a different perspective. Technology is an inextricable part of this advancement.

Scientists use technology for exploration, collection, documentation, implementation and application.

Students with access to the latest technology, have an advantage in not only science, but in many fields of study. I would like to incorporate more discovery and application into my classroom by utilizing the most current technology.

Student scientists will use Apple technology to collect and analyze data, create movies for analysis of the experimental process and share with other groups ideas, results and applications.
