This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher, servicing learning disabled, ELL, physically and emotionally challenged students.

They are significantly below grade level in all academic areas. The majority of my students receive free breakfast/lunch in addition to other forms of public assistance.

My Project

My students need 8 Chromebooks in order to access applications/programs that will enhance their learning opportunities. Chromebooks in my classroom will benefit my students in many ways. There are specific APPS that are targeted for students with significant learning disabilities. My students will benefit from using various APPS to improve their communication, social and academic skills. Chromebooks will be the perfect tool to keep them engaged and learning throughout the day. It could also be used to reward them for appropriate behaviors. The benefits will be infinite.

Please consider donating so I can provide my students with equal opportunity and use special technology that will enhance each of my children's lives.

Without this technology, they are unable to access the curriculum in an individualized way to achieve academic success.
