I teach ACT/SAT Reading to students who've yet to pass their High School Reading requirement. Graduation & College Ready,11th/12th graders, are not easily convinced they need to go to College, but my students have always been the exception. They have committed to press through their obstacles with hard work and diligence taking on the challenges to practice every opportunity they can.
Virtual learning is difficult enough, but when you have students who can not project and need to learn hands-on that's where the breakdown begins.
My students struggle passing exams, they are High Poverty, the lowest 25% of achievement and are hungry for knowledge, and have physical hunger as well.
Technology is tweaking their interest to the next level. My students have cell phones but most do not have a data plan, they rely on the schools public WiFi. Our school is climbing the achievement ladder, with a12% increase in the graduation rate , it's my job to get the students to college proficiency.

Dedicated I-PAD as a COLLEGE RESOURCE, designated in class will motivate students to investigate Colleges, enter surveys of interests, as they gain knowledge to complete and present their final college project by reporting
My Project
This is a dedicated resource iPad for students, that will encourage them to investigate colleges, complete personal interest surveys, and seek out scholarships by producing a final college project. Students will share with their peers live and virtually. By having the iPad available, visual learning students will be focused and will develop a college mindset/or trade, as they investigate college options and opportunities. There is a download of college data that will be installed on the new classroom iPad.
Students in the classroom will be creating, exploring, and adapting to new technology all in one.
