Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school was established in 1928 and is a Title I school. I have been teaching there since 1999. Many of these students come from diverse cultural backgrounds and there are 16 different languages spoken here. My students come to school full of energy and are ready to wrestle the day.
Besides coming from diverse backgrounds, my students all differ in their academic abilities.
I believe that Donors Choose will enhance my ability to reach all of my students using technology in the classroom.
My Project
I have been awarded a math grant to incorporate an online math fluency program in my classroom. I need these Chromebooks to complete my set of technology for a small group to work online during math centers. Also, the Chromebooks will be used for Accelerated Reading which enhances the students' comprehension.
It would be wonderful to be able to have these touch screen Chromebooks to add to my collection of technology.
These Chromebooks will benefit my students to be fluent mathematicians by practicing addition and subtraction facts, creating fluency of facts, and preparing them for the third grade. Please consider donating to my classroom to help create a fun way to learn, and to become...Fast and Fluent!
