My Project

I love teaching about art from different places, cultures and times. I would like to give my students the chance to explore and challenge themselves to create their own fashion designs that would showcase a theme of their choice. It could be fashion that is functional, representational of their culture, of historical meaning, personal interests, or something new and exciting. We will look at various fashion designs throughout history from different places and cultures. They will also get to discuss with each other clothes that they like or wish that existed. Maybe it's going to be a jacket that can make you fly! Maybe it is going to be a sweater made entirely of candy! The materials I am requesting are skin toned Sharpies to help students represent themselves in a more accurate way in their artwork, and the thin and thick rainbow markers will be for the fashion designs.
