My Students

This year I am a special education teacher in a school with K-8 students. I work with individual and small groups of students.

Each student is unique and special.

I enjoy working with all the students because they all have something different to offer our school. They work very hard and some of them realize that they have to work harder than the other students in their general education classroom. They have to learn use different strategies to help them be successful with their learning. They are a great group of students and I learn from them every day.

My Project

The resources will be good for the students because they can be used as read alouds or the students can read the books themselves to help with social emotional issues. They are good books to deal with different issues that the students may be facing.

In these times students seem to be dealing with more emotional issues and sometimes they do not know how to handle them on their own.

The read alouds give the student an example or a different perspective on the issue they may be dealing with.
