This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My loving students come from low income homes. Most of the school students are non English speaking students. About 80 % of the school population receives free or reduce lunch and breakfast. It would be so nice to come to school and have a nice learning environment. Some of my students live in a shelter. Some of my students share their bedroom with their whole family because several families live in a house that is supposed be for one family.

My Project

The word family readers are filled with fun rhymes and irresistible pictures. These skill building word family books have the repetition that my students need to master spelling and learn to decode words to create readers who can read with confidence.

The word families flip books will enhance my students writing skills by teaching them how to write and spell words and be creative.

Because of technology children are on the computer and are not learning how to spell words correctly . Children need to enjoy writing and not rely on technology . Children of today are becoming less

creative.
