This project requests one Alphabet Activity Carpet. Since we do a lot of whole group instruction and activities on the Promethium board it would be nice to have a colorful and comfortable area for the children to sit on and be able to focus on learning. The carpet in my classroom had to be discarded because of a student who continuously had lice. The floor is cold and not comfortable to sit on. It took me about five years to get our school PTO to get me a new rug. So, when the rug had to be discarded I was so upset. Lice were spreading throughout my classroom because of the rug. The PTO will not replace the rug due to lack of funding.
