We have a wide variety of students in our class. We have several students who come from military families which brings many interesting qualities to our class discussions. We are located in a suburb of Omaha and have students from low, middle, and high income families.
My students are energetic and excited to learn!
They are creative and like to have the opportunity to explore new topics. With the addition of iPads for each student, their curiosity and energy has increased because they now have so many new opportunities to show me what they know!
These students are amazing, caring, kindhearted kids who want to learn as much as they can. They are excited to come to school each day!
My students need flexible seating in our classroom to give them more comfortable places to work and create.
It's proven by research that students who are comfortable and given a choice of where to sit are more successful in classrooms.
Being given the option of where to sit, in addition to choosing something besides a hard chair to sit on, will enhance not only my students' creativity but also their focus and attention span. A 1:1 iPad-to-student classroom works hand-in-hand with flexible seating. We became a one-to-one iPad-to-student classroom about a month ago, and the students are showing signs of tremendous academic improvement, increased focus, and renewed interest in learning. Adding in the option of flexible seating will take them to new heights! We need stools, beanbag chairs and exercise balls to use for flexible seating.
