Fantastic Flexible Seating for Fabulous 5th Graders.

Help me give my students flexible seating for customized learning opportunities. The floor seats and lap desks will make small group learning much more comfortable for my 5th graders.

My Students

My fifth graders are great. They have had a tough few years of learning because of Covid and it is showing this year. I have a large class and many different learning needs.

I have several students below grade level in reading and others below in math.

I like to individualize instruction and work in small groups as much as possible. In order to better facilitate small group learning, I would love to have more flexible seating options in my classroom.

This will allow my small groups to gather in front of the whiteboard or other areas of the classroom for individualized small group instruction.

My Project

Covid-19 has affected student learning and created multiple gaps. Throughout the day I meet with small groups of students, trying to fill those gaps. This flexible seating will make with possible by creating spaces that are easily changed and comfortable for flexible and individualized learning experiences.

Small groups allow the students to gather and learn with the teacher and others who need to work on the same specific skills.

Comfortable floor seats will make these groupings possible and will allow us to transition more easily, without moving a lot of furniture.
