Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of my students know how to play video games. But, most of my students do not know how to simply play. I would like to give my students an opportunity to learn how to play games.

The lack of technology required to play games makes them special.

Playing games is a simple way for children to get quality, screen-free time with friends.

There are several benefits of playing games.

Games build communication skills. Games can help children with special needs. Board games teach children how to follow instructions. Games help children learn to fail. Games create healthy competition. Games help children understand how others think. These are just a few benefits of playing board games.

I would like to give my students an opportunity to strengthen these skills and enjoy learning at the same time for lunch and after-school.
