My students are amazing. They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day.
Our school is located in a low-income area with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Most of my students have limited resources outside of school, so our school may provide their only chance to experience enriching activities. My goal every year is to create an environment that is warm, safe, and welcoming while maintaining a fun, creative learning atmosphere.
Building strong relationships with students and families should be a top priority at any school. Positive interactions with students and families show that you have a genuine interest in their lives, their activities, their goals, and their struggles. I want to be able to have time to talk to families in and out of the classroom.
One way to connect with families is hosting a school carnival.
With the requested slime and hair spray paint, I hope to demonstrate that we are a caring school that wants to develop meaningful relationships with our students' families.
Nothing brings people together like a carnival! Hosting a school carnival is a wonderful chance for teachers to make lasting impressions and to begin developing meaningful relationships with families. These items would enable our entire school to be able to celebrate with their students' families so that we can truly build a strong school culture.
