Help me give my students the books they can't wait to get their hands on and can't put down. Having novels such as, "Crush" and "Brave" will help motivate my reluctant readers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember getting hooked on a series of books as a child? Think of the anticipation and excitement you felt waiting for and then finally reading the prized next installment in your favorite series. My students share that excitement and joy of waiting for and then finally devouring the newest books in their favorite series. My students are inquisitive, voracious readers who are craving to discover the newest adventures in their favorite book series.
My students are book-loving, avid readers, and enthusiastic learners.
Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. For English language learners, books are so important to my students and are truly valued. I am an English language arts 6th-grade teacher at our middle school. My classroom library is an essential resource for my students. Many of my students do not have access to books at home and rely on my classroom library to check out high-quality books. Each day students inquire when the newest books by their favorite authors will be added to the library.
My Project
We are requesting books which will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy--they have comfortable places to sit, and they devour the popular titles we currently have. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind--I have watched them read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. Some of these titles include Dork Diaries, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Harry Potter and I Survived series, just to name a few.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
