This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 6th grade math and science to over 65 students. All students have different levels of understanding of math and science concepts. Our classroom continues to strive towards providing engaging activities for all students. We include activities that inspire student creativity and engagement.

They are encouraged to create posters with drawings to model their understanding of math and science concepts.

Providing students with light boxes will allow them the ability to transfer images onto their posters. This will support their imagination while they create their models that support their understanding.

These supplies will give the students multiple ways to engage and foster their love of learning.
